THCVS invites you to our next Leadership Forum. The focus of this Forum is to create a space to think collectively about the challenges we face as a sector in delivering health and social care services and support for older people.

To start the discussion, we are attaching for you:

Too often we see our sector ‘ambushed’ by commissioning surprises and we thought that it would be good to collectively consider and explore;

 ·       Our reactions to the cabinet paper, health and social care alignment proposals and the commissioning schedule;

·       Our own vision(s) for health and social care (especially in respect of day care, day opportunities and wellbeing);

·       The potential impact of the Council’s emerging vision for social care on not for profit services and organisations

The future may require new ways of working with each other (partnerships and alliances) and with the people we support. The CVS believes that the not for profit sector has a critical role to play around health and social care, which means that this is an area where we could begin to set the agenda and not just react to thinking elsewhere.

We would like to enable and facilitate the not for profit sector to come together to start exploring where we would like to see health and social care in five and ten years and see this leadership forum as potentially the first step in that journey. If you and your organisation have an interest in health and social care we would urge you to attend and to book your space
