Refreshments & Networking from 9.30am followed by a Networking Lunch after the Forum meeting
The Health & Wellbeing Forum is a collaborative partnership among the third sector organisations in Tower Hamlets that aims to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for residents in the borough. The forum is coordinated by a steering group elected from its membership.
We will also have an opportunity to hear pitches from those who wish to put themselves forward for election to the Steering Group. Representatives to the Steering Group need to be working for a VCS organisation in the borough. People will be encouraged to speak to the current steering group about their experiances, ahead of the meeting. People can also put themselves forward for election on the day of the meeting. The Forum aims both to empower communities to engage effectively in the debate with the health and social care services. We aim to facilitate and engage statutory services and health professionals, to enable them to hear, understand and respond adequately to the health needs of the communities.
The Tower Hamlets voluntary sector in all its diversity play a crucial role as members of the Forum. We all meaningfully engage with and provide services to our community - often around similar goals and outcomes for our beneficiaries as our statutory health and social care partners.
Representatives from third sector organisations in Tower Hamlets are welcome to attend and be a part of the Forum.
