Mainstream Grants Funding (MSG) 2012-15 for the voluntary and community sector

12/09/11

Many of you would have received the following message this afternoon from Tower Hamlets Council about its Mainstream Grants(MSG).“Without prejudice In order to ensure that commissioned programmes and Council funding streams are aligned to corporate priorities following changes to local government financing, the Council wishes to review several funding programmes including the Main Stream Grants programme so that services delivered or commissioned reflect strategic objectives and Mayoral priorities. This means that the MSG commissioning process is likely to be extended beyond the original timescale by around six months. However, consideration is being given to continuing existing MSG funded projects for the extended period on a rolled over basis. We will be contacting projects currently being funded in the next few weeks. This is just a letter to keep you updated on the current position, however if you do require any further information please do not hesitate to contact: Nasim Ahmed - 0207 364 3218 (nasim.ahmed@towerhamlets.gov.uk)" Please click 'Read More' to see the response from our CEO
